Having Fun Crafting at Home
I have a passion for crafting. I love to do all kinds of crafts, but try to keep it down to beading, crochet, knitting, embroidery, rug latch, and quilting. I have been practicing needlework arts for 45 years. I started with cross-stitch embroidery before learning to crochet and knit. Needlework has always been a hobby for me, and I enjoy working with my hands to create beautiful items for the home and to give as gifts.
Did you know that doing crafts may ease stress, increase happiness by releasing neurotransmitters called dopamine, plus it may protect the brain from aging, according to the article from CNN Health titled, “This is Your Brain on Crafting“? If you have found yourself here, please consider crafting at home to alleviate everyday stress and maintain your brain’s health.
We definitely need to be crafting in our homes, on the bus, on the train, or in the office to help ease the stress in our lives. I will share projects I’ve made, with a link to the pattern. I hope you will try out the patterns and rediscover that you can create beautiful heirloom pieces for yourself and friends.
Posts will be posted monthly to allow adequate time to complete projects.
No matter what kind of needlework you do, always relax and have fun while doing it.
